Konica Minolta Launch a New Printer for Graphics Professionals
Konica Minolta, a well known brand in the graphic industry has unveiled a new printer, Magicolor 7450 II Grafx. The new printer is targetted at advertising agencies and graphics professionals.The new printer is an offshoot of Magicolor 7450, a printer that has already made a name in the industry.
The printer is built on Contone printing technology that produces true-to-life photographic outputs and ultra-smooth colour gradations. It has a best print resolution of 9600 X 600 dpi.
The 7450 II Grafx comes with a standard memory of 768MB and a 40GB hard drive. Printing speed is excellent at 24.5 pages per minute. The printing capacity, also known as the monthly duty cycle is highly placed at 120,000 pages. The printer can also function as a standalone through the available PictBridge port.
The printer is capable of handling various sizes of paper ranging from 3.55" x 5.5" to 12.25" x 47.24" (banner-size), including various types of media such as labels, thick paper, plastic etc. A 250-sheet multi-purpose feed tray and a 100-sheet manual feeder are available on the printer. The company claims that the feeder capacity can be expanded up to 1800 pages.
This new Konica Minolta printer is currently being displayed at the MacWorld 2009 exhibition. The price of the printer in UK is estimated to be at ?1500.
